Hospital demands upfront payment

Jack was hospitalised with low blood pressure. He began to feel unwell after spending the day sightseeing with his wife, Laura. It had been quite smoggy outside and Jack had been struggling with the difficult conditions while walking around. The concerned couple went to a local hospital, where they were asked immediately to provide payment prior to any treatment. Laura called their travel insurance provider, who then spoke to the hospital and guaranteed payment for Jack’s treatment. Their travel insurer also covered the additional costs that were related to Jack’s stay.
