Broken wrist at the Acropolis

Damien broke his wrist while visiting the Acropolis in Athens. Many ancient ruins in Greece are made from limestone that over time has worn down and become slippery. Damien was exploring the site and taking photos, when he suddenly slipped on the old steps. Damien put his arm out to soften his fall but injured his wrist in the process. He was transferred to a nearby hospital where x-rays showed that he had badly fractured his left wrist. Damien was fitted with a cast and discharged the same day, after paying the unexpected medical bill. He later contacted his travel insurer and was reimbursed for his medical expenses.
