Taylor broke his ankle when he slipped over at a waterfall. He was on a tour and the guide had led them along a winding forest track that ended at the base of the falls. The surrounding area was rocky and wet, and Taylor lost his footing and fell over. His ankle quickly became painful and swollen, and he couldn’t continue the tour. An ambulance was called and he was taken to a nearby hospital. An x-ray showed that he had broken his ankle in three places. He received treatment and the doctors advised him that he couldn’t continue his trip. Taylor’s travel insurer covered his medical costs for the broken ankle and also refunded him for the portion of the tour that he had missed.
