Allianz Partners Australia announces new CEO

Allianz Partners Australia has today announced the appointment of Christopher (Chris) McHugh as Chief Executive Officer effective 2 August 2021.

Most recently, Chris held the position of Executive General Manager, Personal Injury Insurance for Suncorp where he was responsible for managing Compulsory Third Party Insurance (CTP), Workers Compensation, Travel and Life portfolios.

Chris has a strong network across state and Federal regulators, Government and industry bodies, he has played an active role in shaping industry leading change in Workers Compensation, CTP and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and has led a strategy of targeted growth and performance improvement creating one of Australia’s largest personal injury insurer whilst at Suncorp.

Acting CEO Miranda Fennell will resume her role as Chief Risk and Compliance Officer for Australia and will take additional responsibility supporting regional strategic projects and transformational growth initiatives across the Asia Pacific region.
