Allianz Global Assistance Partners with Citibank to offer travellers complementary travel insurance

Leading provider of assistance services, Allianz Global Assistance (AGA) has announced a new partnership with Citibank that offers eligible credit card holders complementary travel insurance.

Under the new offering, customers will have the option to secure sought-after cover for pre-existing medical conditions, with no blanket exclusion in place or doctor’s visit required. Instead, AGA will offer customers a quick and easy complementary screening process to assess what cover is needed.

Applicable on a range of Premium, Business and Rewards credit cards under the Citi, Diners or Citi Partners branded cards.

Commenting on the partnership, Allianz Global Assistance Chief Sales Officer, Brad Smith said, “It is our priority to ensure Australians have peace of mind when travelling. Through our new partnership with Citibank, we’re thrilled to provide our customers an enhanced offering, particularly with the option to secure cover for pre-existing medical conditions.”

As one of the largest underwriters of complementary credit card insurance in the Australian market, AGA brings substantial expertise to the partnership, building upon its already extensive portfolio of banking partners, including the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Bankwest, Rabobank and HSBC.
