Damien has a history of high-performance and adaptability, with an excellent ability to motivate teams within fast-paced business environments. These attributes have seen him contribute significantly to successful outcomes and become a valued influencer within Allianz Worldwide Partners.
He joined the team in 2006 as a Financial Controller and then advanced into positions including Finance Manager – Insurance, Executive Manager of Finance, and General Manager of Corporate Strategy. He oversaw the rollout of numerous large-scale technology improvements to streamline finance capabilities and competently managed large teams across multiple disciplines.
Damien’s skill in project implementation, people management and proven ability to take advantage of opportunities led to his recent elevation to head of the market management team.
In this role, he manages the company’s corporate strategy, marketing and external communications, e-commerce and digital platforms, and business and customer insights.
Damien is committed to bringing greater levels of innovation and customer insight to the team’s approach to market, drawing on his experience in instigating process improvement and a deep understanding of Allianz Worldwide Partners business and stakeholders.
Before his time at Allianz Global Assistance, Damien’s career featured long-term tenures at blue chip global firms including Barclays Global Investors, Virgin Entertainment Group, and Deutsche Bank.
